Sean McDowell is the son of Josh McDowell.

An associate professor at Biola University, Sean holds a PhD in Apologetics and Worldview Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He lives in California with his wife, Stephanie, and their three children.

Sean has authored or co-authored more than 20 books on apologetics, intelligent design, ethics and youth ministry. He was instrumental in helping Josh to update his apologetics classic, Evidence That Demands a Verdict, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2023.

Sean is an in-demand speaker around the U.S. and abroad.
